Cedar Hair Tablet
A once-daily tablet combining finasteride, oral minoxidil and biotin, for men who want the effect of the 4-in-1 topical without a twice-daily application routine.
This is a compounded preparation made by a licensed pharmacy. It is not FDA-approved, and it is prescribed only when a licensed provider determines it is appropriate for you.
Already know this is what you want? The second option books the appointment straight away. Not sure yet? See the labs first.
Your consult is free. We will not prescribe this, or anything, before a clinician has spoken with you. Final cost depends on the form and dose prescribed.

Mechanism
One pill, two mechanisms.
Finasteride blocks the enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT, the hormone most responsible for shrinking genetically susceptible follicles in men. Taken orally, it reaches every follicle on the scalp at a steady dose.
Oral low-dose minoxidil works on a separate pathway, widening the small blood vessels around the follicle and extending the growth (anagen) phase of the hair cycle. Biotin is included to support the keratin production hair is built from.
For men who find a twice-daily topical hard to stick with, a single tablet taken at the same time each day is often the difference between a regimen that works on paper and one that actually gets used.
Safety and eligibility
Your consult and labs screen for all of the following.
- Pregnancy and handling warning, finasteride must not be handled by women who are or may become pregnant, including via broken or crushed tablets.
- Sexual side effects, a small percentage of men report reduced libido or erectile changes on oral finasteride; these typically resolve on stopping.
- Fluid retention, oral minoxidil can occasionally cause swelling in the hands, feet or face, or a faster resting heart rate.
- Not FDA-approved for this exact combination, prescribed off-label, at your provider's discretion, based on your labs and history.
FAQ
Cedar Hair Tablet questions.
Both target hair loss, but the tablet is a single daily pill with no scalp application, which some men find easier to stay consistent with.
It combines finasteride with oral minoxidil and biotin in one prescription, rather than requiring separate prescriptions and schedules.
Your clinician will tell you what, if anything, is needed based on your history. A baseline panel is commonly recommended before starting oral minoxidil.
Most men judge results at four to six months of consistent daily use, the same timeline as other minoxidil and finasteride regimens.
