Hair Restoration ยท Topical
Raven Hair Solution
A five-active topical formula, finasteride, minoxidil, fluocinolone, tretinoin and vitamin E, for patients who want the broadest topical regimen we offer.
This is a compounded preparation made by a licensed pharmacy. It is not FDA-approved, and it is prescribed only when a licensed provider determines it is appropriate for you.
Already know this is what you want? The second option books the appointment straight away. Not sure yet? See the labs first.
Your consult is free. We will not prescribe this, or anything, before a clinician has spoken with you. Final cost depends on the form and dose prescribed.

Mechanism
Five actives, five jobs.
Finasteride and minoxidil provide the same DHT-blocking and vessel-widening, anagen-extending effects found in our other formulas. Tretinoin is added to increase scalp penetration of the other actives and has its own modest effect on cell turnover.
Fluocinolone, a mild topical steroid, calms the scalp inflammation that can worsen shedding, and vitamin E acts as an antioxidant to support overall scalp health.
Because it combines more actives than our other topicals, this formula is typically reserved for patients who have not responded fully to a simpler regimen, at your clinician's discretion.
Safety and eligibility
Your consult and labs screen for all of the following.
- Pregnancy warning, Not for use during pregnancy, or if you are trying to become pregnant.
- Common side effects, include scalp irritation, dryness, redness or peeling, particularly in the first few weeks as the scalp adjusts to tretinoin.
- Steroid component, fluocinolone is intended for scalp use only and should not be used longer than your clinician directs.
- Not FDA-approved for this exact combination, prescribed off-label, at your provider's discretion.
